CASA of San Luis Obispo County is seeking volunteers to become advocates for foster children who live in South County. Approximately one-third of the children under the court’s jurisdiction for abuse or neglect live in South County.
A daytime training class will begin on September 23 at Grace Bible Church, 100 Rodeo Drive, Arroyo Grande. CASA recommends that anyone interested in this training visit www.slocasa.org for more information and to complete an application.
Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of SLO County is a nonprofit organization that has been advocating for the best interests of abused and neglected children within the court system. CASA of SLO County recruits and trains volunteer advocates who are paired with individual children to learn their situations and stand up for their needs.
