  • Educated Workforce

    San Luis Obispo County leads neighboring counties in its workforce's level of education, with 34% percent of residents having a bachelor's degree or higher. The Grover Beach workforce is approximately 6,260. 

    Cutting edge programs like the Clean Energy Workforce Training Program at Cuesta College and new and expanding programs at Allan Hancock College are providing valuable training in jobs of the future.

    Cal Poly San Luis Obispo is graduating approximately 4,000 people annually to help equip local companies. For the past 18 years U.S. News & World Report magazine has rated Cal Poly as the best public-master’s university in the West. And the Wall Street Journal says that the Business and Engineering schools produce among the best hires in the country out of all private and public schools.

  • Zoning for Cannabis Businesses 

    As a business-friendly city, Grover Beach made the decision to become open to allowing cannabis-based businesses to establish themselves within city limits.

    As of xxx, roughly 10 cannabis-related businesses have commenced operations with another 14 permitted businesses working through the development process.

    The City allows commercial cannabis uses in three zones: Industrial (I), Coastal Industrial (CI), and the Coastal Industrial Commercial (CIC), as shown on the Grover Beach Zoning Map

    Grover Beach now boasts ultra-fast and reliable Metro Fiber Internet from Digital West. Through a public-private partnership announced in October of 2014, Digital West is using existing Grover Beach conduit, and adding more, to bolster the city’s fiber infrastructure.

    GROVER BEACH LODGE SLATED TO BREAK GROUND

    The Grover Beach Lodge, a hotel development 30 years in the making, is now expected to break ground in 2021.

    The project site is located at the end of West Grand Ave. in Grover Beach, near the Pismo Beach Golf Course and Finn's Seafood Restaurant.

    The Grover Beach Lodge is designed to be three hotel buildings with nearly 150 rooms and a restaurant.

     

    DIGITAL INTERNET FOR BUSINESS SUCCESS

    Grover Beach now boasts ultra-fast and reliable Metro Fiber Internet from Digital West. Through a public-private partnership announced in October of 2014, Digital West is using existing Grover Beach conduit, and adding more, to bolster the city’s fiber infrastructure.

    Grover Beach businesses now not only have beachfront access and incredible views, but Internet connectivity options that were previously only reserved for large metropolitan areas.

    Grover Beach also serves as home to the Pacific Crossing cable landing station which connects networks across the world through submarine cables, giving businesses direct access to North and South American, Asian and other international markets.
