First, I’d like to share some exciting news. The California Employers Association (CEA) has joined forces with the San Luis Obispo County Workforce Development Board to create a no-cost HR-Hotline to assist employers and employees.

Happy Fall! The Board of Supervisors took action on a few key items last month including charting a path for fire service in Oceano, updating our State Legislative Platform, and progressing toward forming an independent redistricting commission. But first, an update on the proposed Dana Reserve project.

After a nation-wide search, our Pismo Beach City Council has selected Jorge Garcia as our new City Manager. The Council will consider his employment agreement at our October 3rd meeting. Garcia currently serves as our interim City Manager and previously was Assistant City Manager and Management Services Director.
