“Buy Local” gift card program returns to Grover Beach
February 6, 2023
GROVER BEACH—After successful Buy Local gift card programs in 2021 and 2022, the City of Grover Beach is relaunching the popular campaign this month to further boost the economy and show support for local businesses in their city. In partnership with the South County Chambers of Commerce, the Grover Beach City Council launched the Buy Local program originally as part of the City’s ongoing efforts to stimulate the economy, retain local jobs, and help businesses thrive.
Just in time for Valentine’s Day, the popular Buy Local gift card program is returning to Grover Beach to show the love to local restaurants and provide diners with extra incentive to support them. Starting February 12, when a diner cumulatively spends $100 or more at a Grover Beach restaurant, brewery, or winery, the customer will be eligible to receive a free $25 gift card to another local restaurant, winery, or brewery.
“Both the City of Grover Beach and the Chamber are happy to bring this program back in a more targeted fashion—focusing this time on the dining industry,” said South County Chambers of Commerce CEO Kathy McCorry.
To claim the gift card/s, customers need to upload their receipts totaling $100 or more to southcountychambers.com, or mail receipts to South County Chambers of Commerce, PO Box 672, Arroyo Grande CA 93421. Customers will receive a confirmation email qualifying their receipts, and they can show the email to pick up a $25 gift card at the California Welcome Center in Pismo Beach. (If the recipient is unable to pick up a gift card, they may request to have a card mailed to them.) Qualifying purchases must take place at a Grover Beach restaurant, brewery, or winery between February 12, 2023, and March 17th, 2023, or while supplies last. Gift cards/s will be distributed randomly, and substitutions are not allowed.
