South County Chambers of Commerce to host “Passport
to Success,” a business resource and job fair, on June 1st
ARROYO GRANDE—South County Chambers of Commerce, the regional Chamber of Commerce for South San Luis Obispo County, will be hosting “Passport to Success,” a business resource and job fair on Thursday, June 1st, at the South County Regional Center in Arroyo Grande from 3 pm to 7 pm.
In partnership with the San Luis Obispo County Workforce Development Board, South County Chambers of Commerce is bringing this event to the South San Luis Obispo County business community to provide the tools necessary to hire and retain their job force. For local businesses, this will be an opportunity for networking and connecting with valuable resources. Job seekers are also encouraged to attend so they can interact with local businesses and participate in on-the-spot interviews, receive resume assistance, and access other opportunities.
“There are so many resources available for businesses that need to hire and/or worry about retention, and we need to let the South County business community know that services do exist in this area,” said Kathy McCorry, CEO for South County Chambers of Commerce. “And while we have all of these businesses here learning about resources, we felt we could utilize the time more efficiently and invite those looking for new job opportunities to attend as well. We appreciate our partnership with our title sponsor, San Luis Obispo County Workforce Development Board. It is through their generous support of the business community and strong partnership with our Chamber that we are bringing this program to South County.”
This will be a free community event that includes giveaways, complimentary beverages, raffle prizes, and food available for purchase. South County Chambers of Commerce is also providing the local business community with opportunities to sponsor this event for extra promotional benefits or to purchase a table so they can participate at the fair.
